ShotGrid作為一款功能性強大的專案管理工具，幾乎是國內外大型的動畫工作室的首選，透過ShotGrid來追蹤的專案進度。好動動畫總製片Joe Hung透露，幾乎大大小小的專案都會使用 ShotGrid，包含從最一開始的美術設計到建模、紋理、骨架、動畫、燈光及渲染等等，團隊會將工作進度編碼、設置名稱並導入ShotGrid中，方便各部門與客戶追蹤即時與未來的工作進度。除了上述功能外，團隊也會使用ShotGrid進行品管與溝通，例如指派鏡頭或工作事項給其他同仁等等；Project Detail的功能也非常方便，它會將工作進度以圖表的方式呈現，提供給製片端查看的同時，也能即時收到反饋。
此外，製作中的影視或動畫作品，其鏡頭的保密性可說是重中之重。對此，ShotGrid 也有相對應的策略。Peter 表示團隊先前是用Shotgun on-premise（ShotGrid 的前身），在當時確實是有機會讓潛在的競爭對手駭進系統竊取資料；但現在ShotGrid的優點是都雲端化，反而更加安全。因為本身是亞馬遜雲端運算服務 AWS 的重度使用者，得知它在網路上的安全機制非常足夠，所以在做一些機密資料的分享時是更加安全的。
有了ShotGrid效率十足的專案管理應用，好動動畫得以產製許多優秀的作品，包括Netflix動畫影集《惡靈古堡：無盡黯黑》，以及《勇者鬥惡龍》等，近期風靡國內的莫過於知名 IP《阿霞的雞蛋糕》。Joe 表示因為本身是台中人，當時台中市政府為了行銷台中推出了一個動畫標案，於是就想藉由這個機會做一支動畫，剛好《阿霞的雞蛋糕》描述到外地打拼的年輕人回到了家鄉，並發現許多不同的面向。希望勾起觀眾心中的共鳴，藉著這部動畫讓他們知道家鄉還是有很好的一面。據團隊透露，此IP在今年初完成，過程中也參加許多影展並入圍數個獎項。
